Our director, Peter initially started at the firm when it was JKA in 1991 where he gained his early experience at the age of 21, before progressing to spending 16 years as a partner at a much larger firm. With this important experience in hand, Peter returned in 2017 to purchase the practice, and become the sole owner. Since this time, Peter and the team have been motivated to become a more dynamic, client-facing, forward planning business, and in doing so, have evolved into Malanos + Co what it stands for today.
Peter Malanos CPA - Director
Having over 30 years’ experience in public practice, Peter brings with him a wealth of experience in taxation, business advisory, complex CGT matters and structuring. He spent 14 years as Principal and shareholder of a large successful Brisbane accounting firm then branch out, moved closer to home and establish Malanos & Co. He has brought with him big firm experience to a small but reputable firm.
Peter believes "in listening to client’s wants and needs then formulating practical easy to understand solutions and advice. I am not afraid to offer an opinion or advice and will always consider a client’s overall position. Our long standing loyal client base is a testament to our hard working team."
Junelyn M. - Accountant
Junelyn supports our managers in producing financial statements, income tax returns and works closely with Peter and the team. Junelyn is extremely organised and is a valued member of the firm.
She is committed to delivering quality work and contributing positively to the team.
Tracey Brinkley BCom - Accountant
Tracey has been working with JKA Accounting Solutions for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in accounting. Tracey has over 20 years experience in the industry, focusing on accounting and taxation matters for small business entities, companies, trusts and individuals.
‘Assisting small business clients with their taxation obligations and compliance, so they can focus on succeeding in their business is just one of our specialties’.
Veronika Matthews BCom, IPA - Accountant and Registered Tax Agent
Veronika is one of our senior accountants with 18 years public practice experience. She is bilingual and speaks Indonesian and Chinese. Prior to joining Malanos and Co, she ran her own practice specialising in both food and professional services sectors, later selling her business to enjoy a healthy work life balance.
Veronika works closely with Peter, has a keen attention to detail and assists clients with all compliance and advisory matters.
Nafeeza Hak - Client Services Manager
When contacting Malanos & Co, Nafeeza is the first person to welcome you. Nafeeza has been with our firm for over 10 years and her role includes meeting and greeting our clients, as well as providing and administrative and client support to the entire team.
